Kidderminster Cyclists’ Touring Club
Member group of Cycling UK
Long distance cycling events.
Kidderminster CTC organised the Elenith 300 km and Kidderminster Killer 200 km Audax UK events for many years. Members have completed Audax events from 100 and 200 km right up to the Paris-Brest-Paris 1200 km and the London-Edinburgh-London 1400 km events.
Each year our members ride many Audax events, either together as a group or on their own.
Members compete in local club time trials organised by Wyre Forest CRC and Worcester St Johns CC. They have also ridden in open events all over the country and national events, notably 12 and 24 hour time trials.
Riding with local clubs.
Because of the good cycling in the area there are a large number of local sportive events which members participate in.
Various Veteran Cycle Club events are attended by members and some enjoy restoring and riding old bicycles.
Off road riding
Several members organise rides and ride with the Rough Stuff Fellowship.
We sometimes organise our own specific ‘mountain bike’ rides and these are listed on the calendar.
Tandems are welcome on our normal rides.
Kidderminster CTC tandem riders often join the Tandem Club and go on their rides and events.
As a Cycling UK member group the Kidderminster CTC supports the national charity in its campaigning for cyclists rights. Some of our members are involved with local and national campaigning.
